School Tours in Galway
Loughwell Farm Park, Moycullen is a very popular school tour venue for primary school children from Junior Infants right up to Sixth class, in Galway City, County and in the West of Ireland. We are also a popular school tour location for preschool and crèche children. A school tour at Loughwell is a wonderful countryside experience where the children get to meet the animals and enjoy all our wonderful indoor and outdoor play facilities.
Our new full sized role play village with Supermarket, Post Office, Teddy Bears Hospital, Fire Station and Restaurant is perfect for all school tours and will be included as part of the schedule.
Each school tour will be designed around your particular schedule and what suits you and your class. A school tour at Loughwell Farm Park can be great fun, even if it is raining as we have over 12,000 square feet of indoor activities. Children of all ages love having their exciting, adventurous and fun school tour at Loughwell Farm Park, Moycullen.
We take great care at Loughwell Farm Park to ensure that each school tour is scheduled so that the children are able to have their own time in each of our many different play activities.
Loughwell Farm Park prides itself on being able to offer the animal tour in either Irish or English or if preferred a mixture of both languages. You just tell us what you would like and we will do our very best to meet your needs.
Each school tour group will have a superviser with them all the time they are having fun on the farm. Your supervisor will ensure that you go to all the fun activities at the right time and make sure that the children have a fantastic, fun filled and educational school tour.
National School tours cost €13.00 euros per child (if bringing own lunch) or €16.95 per child if we provide the hot meal and drink for the child. Hot meal provided is a mixture of sausages, chicken nuggets, chips and a drink.
Preschool tours cost €12.00 euros per child (if bringing own lunch) or €15.95 per child if we provide the hot meal and drink for the child ( for children aged 18 months to under 4 years of age).

For Health and safety reasons we ask that all children wear socks to the farm, have all arms and legs covered (i.e. wear tracksuits) to protect them on the slides and don’t forget the sun cream!.

No. Once you have paid your admission price, then you can use all the fantastic play facilities again and again throughout the day making Loughwell Farm Park the best value day out for families in Galway.
Can adults use the facilities?
All of the facilities at Loughwell Farm Park are built for both adults and children so parents can have as much fun on our mega slides as their kids!!
Can we bring a picnic?
You are more than welcome to bring your own picnic to Loughwell Farm Park and eat it in our indoor picnic area in the Barn Yard Theatre or on the many outdoor picnic areas throughout the farm but not in the main playbarn as that is where our restaurant is.
Can we feed the animals?
We have a daily schedule of animals activities which allows you to interact with and feed the animals. As all our animals are on a special diet, we ask you not to feed them outside these times.
Do I need to prebook a day out at Loughwell Farm Park
No you do not. You can come along and pay at the entrance hut, however, it is advisable to prebook parties, school tours and visits to our Christmas Winter Wonderland.
Do you have a restaurant?
Yes we have a restaurant which serves a variety of hot and cold drinks, snacks and homemade meals. The restaurant is located with the large playbarn.
How long can we stay at Loughwell Farm Park?
Your entrance entitles you to stay until closing time and you can use all the play facilities again and again throughout the day.
Is Loughwell Farm Park suitable for very small children?
Under 2s are free at Loughwell Farm Park but they are not allowed use the mega slides. Loughwell Farm Park is jam packed full of fun and adventure for all ages 2 and over however all children are different and some two year olds might find the Farm too busy for them especially on weekend days and prefer it when it is quieter e.g. early in the day. We have a soft play area especially for under 5s.
Is the farm wheelchair accessible?
Yes it is. We have tar and chip paths and other walkways throughout the farm.
What if it is raining?
We have over 12000 square feet of indoor entertainment so you are guaranteed a fun time no matter the weather.
